View unrecognized communications
There are various types of unrecognized communications that exist in Welkin, depending on your version. They include email, SMS, voicemail, fax, or web form.
When you receive an unrecognized communication, it will appear as an alert in your inbox. If the communication comes to a shared phone number or email address, it may appear in all User inboxes.
Clicking on the alert will pull up the unrecognized message or recording for you to view or listen to:
Assign unrecognized communications
After opening an unrecognized communication, you will have the option to either dismiss it or assign it to a Patient profile.
To assign it, search the Patient name in the search bar, select their name from the list, and click Assign.
The unrecognized communication will now be associated with that Patient profile and can be viewed in the timeline.
You will also have the option to dismiss the unrecognized communication alert. If you select Dismiss, this will remove the message or recording from everybody's inboxes and Welkin entirely.
Check in with the Patient to see if they will be using this email address or phone number going forward. If so, consider adding it to their profile. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.
