In this article, we'll walk through:
- Welkin’s credentialing system used for logging in
After reading this documentation, you will:
- Know the five login types
- Understand why there are multiple logins
- Have practical tips for managing multiple logins
The Welkin platform has five potential credentials that encompass the three platform tools: Workshop, Coach Portal, and Admin Portal and reflect Admin and Coach access.
Unique Logins
An individual can interact with Welkin in one or many different capacities. It is important that you are able to control your team’s access to each environment. To accomplish this, each aspect of the Welkin platform has unique login credentials.
For this reason, one individual could have up to five logins to the following environments:
- Workshop
- Coach Portal - Test Environment
- Coach Portal - Production Environment
- Admin Portal - Test Environment
- Admin Portal - Production Environment
Important Note: Logins require unique email addresses for each account. If an individual needs more than one account type, then that individual will need more than one unique email address. Most email clients can support this through the use of alias emails.
Creating Credentials
Most credentials are created during the implementation period. Your Implementation Manager will provide you with all of the Workshop credentials and at least one Admin login for both your Test and Production environments. Customer Admin users can create Coach accounts and subsequent Admin accounts within the Test and Production environments.
Workshop accounts can only be created by Welkin. If you need additional Workshop accounts before launch, please ask your Implementation Manager. If you need additional Workshop accounts post-launch, please request these by submitting a Customer Support ticket.
We recommend: Keep track of all of your credentials in one place, similar to the format of the table below. This table also shows our recommended format when using alias emails.
